The most important element of the initial setup is determining the correct data structure and uploading your unit data.
Before we discuss data structure in detail it is useful to explain the different terminology we use to describe apartments and buildings in the context of an Allthings App. The data is structured in ‘Levels’ and each item below exists at a particular level.
- Unit = an apartment, this is Level 0
- Property = a single building containing a number of units, this would be Level 1
- Address = a broad location grouping for one or more properties, this is Level 2
- Development = a collection of properties/buildings across one or more addresses, which is Level 3
