On the date the app is available to tenants we need to increase the efforts of our promotional activity.
On the day the app is available previous hard copy materials should be replaced with new ones that now include instructions on how to sign up for, download and login to the app.
Email invitations should also be sent on the launch date.
Launch event
An excellent way to introduce your app to your tenants is with a launch event. This gives you the chance to explain the benefits to tenants and walk them through signing up in person, as well as offering an opportunity to provide a nice added value experience to your tenants.
Some factors to consider when hosting an event are:
- Budget
- Venue
- Timeline and promotion
- Incentives
- Attendees
- Activity/Agenda
For example, will you hold the event in a function room within the building or development, or somewhere external? Invitations and posters must be created and the tenants given sufficient time to RSVP and plan.
Who do you want to attend your event? Tenants, property managers, facility managers, anyone else?
What will be the activity or agenda for the event? Perhaps you could organise a BBQ, or a brunch. Other ideas for a launch event could be a special breakfast or lunch, or perhaps something after work. Will you offer any prizes or run any competitions to encourage attendance? Food and drink are often excellent ways to get people to attend an event.
It’s important to tailor both the timing and content of your event to your audience, based on what you know about them, what they will enjoy and what will be relevant and provide them with a benefit.
You should reiterate the benefits of the app during the event and ensure you have documentation and people around to support people in signing up.
