What is the Magic Link?
The Magic Link is a secure direct access tool that allows residents to view and handle a specific request without logging into the app beforehand.
This feature was developed to simplify communication with the property management and minimize barriers to accessing information.
How it works and email notifications
In email notifications regarding new requests or updates, two different access options will be available:
- "Go to request": This button uses the Magic Link to give you direct access to the relevant request. You can view the message history and write replies directly.
- "All requests": This button takes you to the general overview of all requests within the app.
Note: Directly below the "All requests" button is the note "via app login". This indicates that accessing the full overview requires logging in with your personal credentials. Within the Magic Link view, all functions to process the specific request are available; however, navigating to other areas of the app is not possible for security reasons.
Security and validity
Protecting your data is guaranteed at all times. Therefore, the validity of the Magic Link is subject to fixed rules:
- Standard validity: By default, a Magic Link is valid for 14 days from creation (unless a different duration is specified in the company settings).
- Automatic extension: With every new activity within the request (e.g., when you write a message), the link's validity is automatically extended by the configured period.
- Resolution of the request: As soon as a request is set to "Closed", the Magic Link is immediately deactivated, even if the original time frame has not yet expired.
Frequently asked questions and answers
Does my email address need to be registered or verified?
No, prior registration in the app or verification of the email address is not required to use the Magic Link. You can open and edit the request directly via the link in the email. A full registration is only necessary if you want to use the entire app.
Important security notice: Never forward this email to third parties. Anyone who has this link will gain direct access to this specific request.
What can I do if my Magic Link has already expired?
If a link has expired, a corresponding notice page will open. There, you can easily request a new Magic Link with a single click.
