Why does Google Play Console need this number?

Google Play Console uses the DUNS number to verify developer accounts, especially for accounts that represent businesses. This ensures:

Steps to apply for a DUNS number

If your company does not yet have a DUNS number, you can apply for one from Dun & Bradstreet. Proceed as follows:
