Content
The booking function in the Allthings Cockpit allows you to make various resources such as common rooms, equipment, or services available for booking. By creating bookable objects, tenants can conveniently make reservations via the app, which reduces administrative effort and increases satisfaction. To create and optimally manage a new bookable object, please follow these instructions:
Create New Object
- Access the booking function: Log in to the Allthings Cockpit and navigate to the Booking section.
-
Add new object:
- Click on "Add new object".
- Enter a unique name for the object, e.g., "Meeting Room 1".
- Add a detailed description that includes information such as features, capacity, and terms of use.
-
Availability and booking rules:
- Define on which days and at what times the object can be booked.
- Define the maximum and minimum booking duration, as well as any buffer times between bookings.
Add Multilingualism
To ensure that all users understand the information, you can offer the object in multiple languages:
-
Add language version:
- Select the desired language above the object description. You can choose from all languages available in your app.
- Translate the name, object description, and all other information into the selected language.
- If you do not provide all languages available in your app, the object will be displayed in the default language.
By providing multilingual information, you increase the accessibility and user-friendliness of your booking offers.
Add Files and Images
Visual content and additional documents can help tenants make an informed decision:
-
Add images and documents:
- Scroll all the way down in the creation/editing mask of the bookable object.
- Click on "Add an attachment here" or use drag & drop.
- Select high-quality images of the object that convey a clear impression of its appearance and features or add relevant files such as terms of use, safety guidelines, or instructions.
By adding images and documents, you provide tenants with a comprehensive overview of the object and its use. You can find more information about which files you can upload here.
Set Visibility
Before you can finally save and publish your object in the app, you need to define its visibility. You can specify which target audience can see and book your object by selecting the corresponding channels:
-
Manual Selection:
- Select specific channels (e.g., apps, properties, buildings or individual residential units) for which the post should be visible.
-
Selection with Tags:
- After selecting the "Tags" tab, you can select the desired tags that contain the channels for which the pinboard post should be visible. You can select a tag at the tag level or only individual properties, buildings, or residential units of a tag.
After you have defined the visibility, you can select the contact person and publish the bookable object. You can find detailed instructions in the following video:
