The booking function in the Allthings Cockpit allows you to efficiently manage resources such as rooms, equipment, or services and make them available to your tenants. A central task is the effective management of incoming bookings to ensure smooth operation and high user satisfaction.
Difference between booking and objects
Within the booking function, a distinction is made between bookings and objects:
- Bookings: These are the actual reservations made by tenants.
- Assets: These are the bookable objects or resources themselves, such as meeting rooms or equipment.
This distinction helps to clearly structure the management of resources and their associated bookings.
Booking overview in cockpit
In the Cockpit, under the Booking menu item, you will find an overview of all current bookings. This overview is divided into different categories that help you quickly identify the status of each booking:
- Unconfirmed bookings: Bookings awaiting your confirmation.
- Confirmed bookings: Bookings already confirmed by you.
- Rejected bookings: Bookings you have rejected.
- Cancelled bookings: Bookings that have been cancelled by tenants, a team member, or yourself.
- Cancellation requests: Requests from tenants to cancel their bookings.
This structure allows you to keep track of all bookings and act accordingly.
Managing existing objects
After creating an object, you can edit or update it at any time:
-
Edit object:
- Select the desired object from the list.
- Make the necessary changes, e.g., adjustments to the description, availability, or visibility.
-
Archive and delete object:
- If an object is no longer available, you can archive it and then permanently delete it if necessary.
- Note that this will cancel all future bookings.
Regular review and updating of your bookable objects ensures that the information is always current and tenants can book reliably.
By carefully creating and managing your bookable objects in the Allthings Cockpit, you ensure efficient resource utilization and increase the satisfaction of your tenants.
