The booking function in the Allthings Cockpit allows you to efficiently manage resources such as rooms, equipment, or services and make them available to your tenants. By implementing proven practices, you can optimize the booking process and increase the satisfaction of your tenants.
Efficient Object Management
"Object" in the Allthings Cockpit refers to a bookable object or resource available to your tenants. What you make available as a bookable object is up to you – from meeting or event rooms, guest rooms, roof terraces, holiday apartments and parking spaces to items such as tools, ladders, chairs, tables, grills, projectors, pointers or moderation cases, much is possible. To optimize the management of these objects, it is recommended to regularly check the overview of existing objects and make adjustments as needed. This includes editing details, archiving no longer needed objects, or adding new resources.
Notifications for Booking and Cancellation Requests
To stay informed about new booking or cancellation requests, you can activate email notifications. This function ensures that you can react to requests in a timely manner, which leads to higher satisfaction among your tenants.
- Go to your Profile Settings in Allthings Cockpit.
- Check the box next to "I would like to be notified about booking and cancellation requests by email" under "Account & Settings"
You will then receive email notifications about:
- New bookings / booking requests
- Cancellation requests for previously confirmed bookings
- Information about cancelled bookings
Which booking and cancellation requests you are notified about via email depends on which apps, properties or groups you have permissions for.
Note: This setting is available to you if you have the "Booking Agent" permission.
Integration of Bookings into a Calendar
To keep track of all bookings, you can integrate them into your calendar. For every new booking, you will receive an email with an attached .ics file. Often, you can add appointments from emails with an attached .ics file directly to your calendar via your email program. If not, download the .ics file and manually import the file into your calendar.
