To efficiently process bookings via the Allthings platform, reliable payment processing is essential. What is Stripe?
- Stripe is the leading international provider of online payment solutions and counts numerous renowned companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Booking.com among its customers.
- Stripe is particularly characterized by a very modern API that is constantly being developed. Stripe facilitates digital payment processing, for example, through fraud prevention and support for internationalization.
- We specifically chose Stripe because Stripe Connect provides marketplace functionality that allows us to easily integrate various partners into our platform.

Add TWINT payment method
To set up TWINT as a payment method for residents, please proceed as follows:
- Log in to your Stripe Dashboard and click on the gear icon for settings in the top right corner.
- Select Payments under Product settings.
- Go to the Payment methods tab and scroll down to find TWINT.
- Click Show details next to TWINT on the right to activate the payment method.
Important: Ensure that the currency in your account is set to CHF (Swiss Francs), as TWINT is exclusively a Swiss payment method.
Test: To ensure everything is working correctly, test the TWINT payment option by trying to book a bookable object in the Allthings app. Customers can scan a QR code on desktop devices and pay directly in the TWINT app on mobile devices.
Transaction fees and conditions
Allthings currently does not charge transaction fees for providing the technology and mediating orders. However, Stripe charges a fee for each transaction, which must be covered by the service providers or included in the prices. The current conditions (July 2025) of Stripe for all payments within the EEA are: In Switzerland, Stripe charges a fee of 1.5% of the transaction amount plus €0.25 per successful transaction for online payments with standard credit cards from the European Economic Area (EEA).
- Switzerland: CHF 0.30 + 2.9% per transaction.
- EU: EUR 0.25 + 1.5% per transaction.
Please refer to the current conditions directly on the Stripe website (Germany | Switzerland). These transaction costs are deducted directly by Stripe. Service providers therefore receive a credit to their account equal to the sales price minus the transaction costs mentioned above.
Refunds via Stripe
If a refund is required, you can process it directly via your Stripe dashboard:
-
Find payment:
- Log in to your Stripe dashboard.
- Find the specific payment to be refunded.
-
Initiate refund:
- Click the overflow menu ("...") to the right of the payment and select "Send refund".
- Enter the refund amount and the reason for the refund.
- If you don't enter anything, the entire amount will be refunded.
