Introduction
The Communication Center in the Allthings Cockpit lets you communicate directly with your residents. Via the pinboard, you can share posts containing important information, news or tips. This fosters transparent and efficient communication within your community.

Required permissions
To use the Communication Center, you need the "Pinboard Agent" or "View pinboard posts" permission. With the "Pinboard Agent" permission, you can create and edit posts and control their visibility. With the "View pinboard posts" permission, you can only view pinboard posts. Learn more about permissions here.
Features of the Communication Center
- Create posts: share news, announcements or information with your residents.
- Control visibility: determine which audience can see your posts.
- Multilingualism: write posts in several languages to reach a wider audience.
- Scheduling: plan posts in advance and set when they should be published.
- Interaction: let residents like or comment on posts to boost engagement – or comment on and like posts yourself.

Example of a pinboard post
Title: Maintenance work on the heating system on 15 March
Content: Dear residents,
on 15 March 2025, maintenance work will be carried out on our heating system between 08:00 and 12:00. During this period, there may be restrictions to the heat supply.

Beyond the pinboard: the chat
Besides the pinboard, residents have the chat directly available in the app. The chat enables direct, data-privacy-compliant exchange within the neighbourhood – in direct messages as well as in public and private groups.
With the "Automatic invitation" feature, residents are added to the right private chat group for their building (e.g. "House A", "House B") when they move in, with no manual effort. The assignment happens automatically based on the building, for new as well as existing tenancies. This way you foster connectivity within the neighbourhood without managing members individually.
