The bulk edit feature in the core data allows you to edit multiple entries at the same time. This saves valuable time and significantly reduces the manual effort of data maintenance by allowing you to apply changes to an entire selection of entries with just a few clicks.

Requirements
To use the bulk edit feature, you need the "Core data admin" permission. Without this permission, you cannot make any changes to the core data, either individually or in bulk.
Important: Bulk editing is only available in the new core data view. Here you can read how to access Profile settings → Display settings to activate the new core data view.
How bulk editing works
Step 1: Select entries
- Select individual entries by clicking the checkbox to the left of an entry.
- Repeat the process for all other entries you want to edit.
- Once you have selected at least one entry, a new bar appears above the table showing how many records have been selected.
Select all visible entries: Click the checkbox in the table header to select all entries displayed on the current page at once.
Step 2: Open the edit mask
- Click anywhere in one of the highlighted rows to start editing.
- After clicking, the edit mask for bulk processing of the selected entries opens.
Step 3: Make changes
In the edit mask, you can now make the desired adjustments, e.g., define roles for the selected properties / buildings or store the associated ownership.
Important: All changes you enter here will be applied to all previously selected entries.
Step 4: Save and confirm
- When you have made all the desired adjustments, click the "Save changes to selection" button.
- If you are editing more than one entry at a time, a dialog box appears showing the number of entries affected to prevent accidental changes.
- Confirm the action in the dialog box by clicking "Save changes". After the successful update, a confirmation message will be displayed.
Important notes & best practices
Handling ERP data
Read-only fields that are managed by an external ERP system cannot be changed by bulk processing. These fields are ignored during the update.
Unchanged fields
In a bulk edit, only the fields in which you have actively made a change are updated. All other fields of the selected records remain untouched and retain their original, individual values.
Sorting in combination with bulk editing
Combine bulk editing with column sorting for maximum efficiency.
For example, sort the list by a specific team member to display all associated properties/buildings one below the other. You can then select these properties/buildings and assign them collectively to a new team member.
Tip: Open entries in a new tab
To maintain an overview or to compare entries with each other, you can right-click on any record in the table to open it in a new browser tab or window. This facilitates multitasking during data management.
