Introduction
The SchlaueBox by Huber AG is an intelligent, digital parcel locker system that enables residents to receive and send parcels directly in the building – contactless, secure, and around the clock.
There are two variants of the solution:
- SchlaueBox Single: a parcel box only, for secure parcel receiving.
- SchlaueBox Multi: a parcel box combined with a digital mailbox and doorbell panel.
This article covers both variants. Features only available in the Multi variant are marked accordingly.
The fully integrated micro app in the Allthings platform allows residents to access these functions.
How it works
Through the integration of the SchlaueBox by Huber AG, the post can deliver parcels for residents. Residents can open the box with a QR code or an RFID badge.
As soon as a compartment in the parcel box is occupied, residents receive a notification from Allthings. The management of parcel box data, such as the email address, also takes place via the Allthings app.
Additionally with SchlaueBox Multi: mailbox and doorbell
In the Multi variant, the digital mailbox and digital doorbell panel are also controlled via the micro app:
- Residents can customize their own name on the digital mailbox and doorbell nameplate.
- Residents can optionally activate the "No junk mail" display on the mailbox nameplate.
- Move-ins and move-outs are automatically synchronized with the nameplates – no manual adjustment by property management is needed.
Information for residents
Access and usage
- The SchlaueBox is available as an integrated micro app directly in your Allthings app.
- You automatically receive a notification as soon as a delivery has been placed for you.
- The compartment can be opened conveniently using the Allthings app via QR code or with your existing RFID badge.

Information for property managers
Setup and activation
- The SchlaueBox is activated as a fully integrated micro app in the Allthings Cockpit.
- The connection uses the Allthings data structure.
- The initial setup takes place in collaboration with Huber AG.
- Whether Single or Multi is used depends on the hardware installed on site and is determined together with Huber AG during setup.
Administration and control
- The administration and maintenance of the parcel box (and, for Multi, the mailbox and doorbell) are handled by Huber AG.
- Manual permission management is not necessary – everything is based on the existing data structures.
Introduction for residents
- Communicate the benefits of the SchlaueBox to residents upon move-in or on the bulletin board.
- Point out the high level of convenience, 24/7 availability, and easy operation via the app.
- If necessary, add a step-by-step guide for use or a link to the support page.
Troubleshooting
This section helps residents and property managers to solve possible problems with SchlaueBox systems themselves, narrow down causes, and collect the right information for support.
Quick help
-
Check app registration
Is the app registration complete and the micro app visible? -
Check notification
Is there a current pickup notification (date/time)? -
Try opening again
Hold the QR code still and centered in front of the scanner (display brightness at maximum), show it multiple times if necessary. Use the badge again if necessary. -
Read the display
Does the display show an error message? (note/photograph it) - Note other SchlaueBox systems: Are there multiple box sides/systems at the location? In the app, you will find for which box the parcel was delivered.
Correctly interpreting device signals
| Observation | Probable cause | What to do? | Indicator |
|---|---|---|---|
| No beep, no mechanical sound | Scanner did not read | Present the QR/badge again; increase smartphone display brightness; adjust distance/position | No reaction from the device |
| No beep, mechanical sound | Compartment is stuck | End the process; inform the contact person on-site or support (on-site check required) | Mechanical sound audible, compartment remains closed |
| Beep, no mechanical sound | Incomplete permission/assignment | Note the display text; try again later; contact support | Error message on the display |
| Beep and mechanical sound, compartment does not open | Compartment is jammed | End the process; inform the contact person on-site or support (on-site check required) | Mechanical sound + beep audible, compartment remains closed |
Frequent scenarios & solutions
Compartment opens, but is empty
- Several codes can be issued on the same day (e.g., after retrieval and a new delivery). The first code may open an empty compartment, while the second leads to the correct one.
- Alternatively: If the wrong parcel compartment size was chosen during delivery, a notification is still triggered, and an empty compartment is briefly reserved under your name.
- Check: Are there multiple notifications/codes for the same day? Was the parcel possibly placed in the other system/on the other side?
Code does not work on the system
- At locations with multiple systems, a code for the wrong system may be entered/shown.
- Check: Test the code on the correct side (note the signage/system designation).
Name is missing/wrong on the device
- Incomplete or incorrect names can lead to incorrect assignments by the post/delivery service.
- Check: Enter the full name in the SchlaueBox micro app.
Display shows “Internet connection”/black screen
- Check (property managers): The location's internet or the SchlaueBox router is connected/online. If the screen is black: arrange for a device check.
If support is needed: information that helps
Please provide the following information so that the case can be reviewed efficiently:
- Location/address and, if applicable, device/system (side 1/2, designation on the device)
- Date & time of the notification and the attempt to open
- Opening method (QR code or badge/RFID)
- Display/error message on the device (a photo is helpful) and device reaction (beep/mechanics)
- Notifications/codes: were there several on the same day?
- Name stored in the app (as shown) and the residential unit
- If available: tracking number/delivery confirmation from the delivery service
