Introduction
BoxUp offers an automated rental service for sports and leisure equipment, available on-site and around the clock.
The integration into the Allthings app allows residents to access the service quickly and easily.
How it works
The BoxUp feature opens the BoxUp web interface directly in the Allthings app.
Through the platform, residents can:
- View available sports and leisure equipment
- Reserve items digitally (e.g. balls, scooters, rackets, games)
- Unlock rentals using a QR code or smartphone
- Return items through an automated process
Rental management is handled entirely through the BoxUp platform; the Allthings app only serves as an access point.
Information for residents
Access and usage
- The BoxUp rental service is available as a feature in your Allthings app.
- When you open the feature, you see BoxUp's booking interface directly.
- After a one-time registration, you can search for, reserve and immediately use equipment.
Information for property management
Setup and activation
- The feature is activated in the Cockpit. Allthings takes care of the setup.
- The name, color, icon and display order of the feature can be customized.
- Visibility can be targeted for specific properties using channels or tags.
Management and administration
- The integration is technically simple: only the BoxUp website is embedded, no deeper system integration is required.
- All booking and rental logic is handled by BoxUp. There is no administrative effort in the Cockpit.
Introduction to residents
- Inform residents about the new rental service – ideally via the pinboard or a direct message.
- Highlight the benefits: free or affordable rentals, simple usage, 24/7 availability.
- Optionally, include a direct link to the local BoxUp station (e.g. in the pinboard post).
